Mise en scene ideas

In our project, the mise en scene is extremely vitual due to the fact that it determines where everything it set and it consists of different areas such as

lighting

in order to achieve numerous effective story lines to work correctly, the lighting will have to be perfect and closely matched to portray the clips in a smooth manner and give it a professional look.  we've considered a variety of camera set up which will enable us to get a variety of different balance and consistent lighting, such as natural and artificial lighting which depicts unpredictable shadows. This juxtaposing lighting should highlight the different periods of time and the emotion of the artist making the video more effective. however, on the proposed day of filming if the weather isnt suitable condition for the right lighting we need, we had a plan b to just edit accordingly, changing the lighting using filters to create a more brighter extravagant scene.

Costume

Due to the fact that our music video consists of various people, with different occupation, we will make sure the costume represent different people. For example, the students will be wearing casual clothes to represent them as teens, whereas teachers will be in suits and smart clothes to differentiate them.  Also, the builders will be wearing their work clothes so you can immediately identify who they are and what they represent. also,we intendon keeping the costume simple due tothefact that we dont want to steal the attention from the area, the audience will be concentrated on.  the bright colours featured on the video will be a representation of the high energetic vibe of the music. the music is quite jumpy and these colours will be a great match. The builders will have a certain make-up on the faces and clothes to depict them to be hard workers, therfore depicting realism. On the hand, the students will have bags on, again, depicting realism.

Acting

the acting will be another key part to our music video. we do not have a main focus as an actor, all the charachters are equally relevant due to the fact that they're all performing a dance routine whihc smbolises the song. The song dictates the movements and the charachters follow it we think will be effective because the audience might be slightly tempted to participate whilst watching the video and therefore we have achieved our aim which was generating something attention grabing and not boring to watch. The filming and editing will be done by Amy and I. for the other pieces of work we have to do, we will be using a stilled camera to take few more pictures.

Sets
The sets we imagined to feature in the music video are:

The Staffroom, were all the teachers are in which the teachers scene will take place, having the performacen element.

The skatepark, were some of our actors will be seen skating at first then as soon as the hear the music and its instructions, they start to dance.

A building site, the scene for the builders will take place, it will be a hectic scene. similarly to the  skatepark scene, the builders will be first shown doing their jobs and starts dancing as soon as the hear the song play. ( we think it will be difficult to find real builders to feature in our video, therefore, we may have set it up)

A care home. this scene will feature the elderly people and this is were the humour side of our video comes in. The elderly people will be dancing really slow, in a none chronological order which will edit to make really funny.
