Advert analyses Pink
This is an advert for Pink's album 'Funhouse'. Pink herself is the main image and she is in a mid-shot. Although she is looking at the camera her head is tilted to the right. Her pose gives her the appearance of having fun, although the use of the tie around her neck has sexual connotations. Her red short strappy top is bold and the fact that it is red again has sexual connotations. She is wearing casual clothes, which reflects her casual image. She is smiling with her mouth open which suggests energy and excitement. Her hair is coloured pink to add to the fun element of this advert.
All of the writing is in the same font, just differing in size and colour. The font is fun simplistic and easy to read. The main text of the artists name is in pink writing and is very large. This makes it stand out and shows it is the main focus of the advert. The album title and release date are smaller and overlap one another. However they are still easily identifiable and draw the audience eye.
The lighting is bright and matches the airy feel of the advert itself. Therefore there is no focal point identified by the lighting. This advert is aimed at 11-16 year old girls with its simple an fun emphasis. However the sexual overtones would also appeal to a more male audience and to older females.
I would like to adopt similar ideas of simplicity and energy to my album advert. I like the way the message is put across and how it draws the audiences immediate attention.
